The Fairland Facility
Fairland's gymnastics program began in 1975 as the Prince George's Gymnastics Club. Since then, that single team had grown to three and we now operate out of the Fairland Sports and Aquatic Complex in Laurel, Maryland, a multi-function sports complex owned by the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission of Prince George's County.
The gymnastics teams practice in a 12,000 square foot gymnastics space within the Fairland sports complex. In addition to the gymnastics facility – fully equipped for boys and girls gymnastics and trampoline training – the complex includes a trampoline training room, six indoor tennis courts, two outdoor HarTru tennis courts, an indoor racquetball court, a Cybex weight training center, an olympic sized indoor pool, training and wading pools and a hot tub therapy pool, and a fitness and dance studio. There is open observation available at all times in the second-floor waiting area. While you're waiting and watching you can avail yourself of the free wi-fi, vending machines, sign up for recreational classes or visit the Gymnastics Pro Shop. Right next door is The Gardens Ice House with rinks for ice hockey, figure skating, curling and with an Ice Sport Pro Shop and Snack Bar. Or, you can enjoy the Imagination Playground located between FSAC and the Gardens Ice House, a boundless playground where at least 70% of the entire playground is accessible to children of all abilities.
Basically, we're a rad place to work out.
Wondering if the gym is open? Has snow, rain, wind, or other such inclement weather has cancelled class or practice?Fairland does not follow school system closings. Please call the facility for schedule changes.
